“No Fear”
"Fear Not” - God’s Repeated Call to Courage
We invite visual artists to submit work for No Fear, an immersive online Virtual Reality (VR) exhibition exploring how God, as revealed in the Holy Bible, repeatedly instructs His people not to fear. Throughout Scripture, the phrase “fear not” (or its equivalent) appears (as originally cited) 365 times—a powerful reminder of God’s constant presence, protection, and reassurance for every day of the year. This exhibition seeks to visually interpret that divine message of courage, peace, and trust.
Curatorial Theme
No Fear is a faith-centered VR exhibition designed to surround viewers with visual testimony of God’s voice speaking into human anxiety, uncertainty, danger, and transition. Artists are encouraged to reflect on how God confronts fear with:
His presence
His promises
His power
His peace
His protection
Submissions may be literal, symbolic, abstract, narrative, or conceptual, and should be rooted in biblical truth while allowing room for personal interpretation and creative expression.
Scriptural inspiration (not limited to):
Isaiah 41:10 – “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.”
Joshua 1:9 – “Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Luke 2:10 – “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy.”
Psalm 56:3–4 – “When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.”
John 14:27 – “Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
2 Timothy 1:7 – “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.”
Artists are encouraged to reference a specific verse(s) or biblical moment that anchors their work. We look forward to experiencing how you visually interpret God’s enduring command to live unafraid.
